How to locate your own phone
If you misplace your own phone, you can use Whereis Everyone on the web to try to locate it. Because Whereis Everyone actually locates people's phone and not people themselves, you just need to locate yourself to locate your phone. To do this:
- Go into My Account, and press the green 'Locate' button.
Although in most cases the location can't be pinpointed to an individual street address, it may be enough just to know which suburb it is in, to jog your memory. Note that you can only locate your own phone when it is switched on and has your SIM card in it.

How to name a Place
Places are your own names for areas on the map, and are circles centred on a specific location. To create a new Place:
zoom to the centre of the location you want to name, then click the "Name a Place" button. You can then choose a name, icon and size the circle.
Places can be set up so instead of seeing someone's location as an address it will show as a location you have named, such as school, work, home, soccer field.
- Move the map to where you want to name a place. In order to do this, you may want to search for a street address or point of interest, zoom to a person, and/or just pan and zoom the map by clicking and dragging on it.
- Once you have found the location on the map click the 'Name a Place' button. A place will be put right at the middle of the map. It will show up as one of the available "Place" icons. You can change to one of the other available icons if you wish
- Choose the icon you want to represent the place, and adjust the position of the place if necessary by dragging it to where you want it. Increase or decrease the size of the circle that defines the place by clicking on the arrow buttons under the icon selector.
- Once you have finished click the 'Save' button.
Once you have clicked 'Save' you can't modify a place, but you can delete it and create another one.
To delete the location click on the 'X' to the right of the Place.

- Select My Account, and then select the 'Visibility' tab.
- Click the orange "Make me Invisible" button
