Whereis Everyone Overview

Find people

Whereis Everyone lets you find where your friends, colleagues and family members are. They just need to have a Telstra mobile phone with them because that's how we find their location. Of course it's possible they may not be carrying their phone, so you need to keep that in mind.

Whether you use Whereis Everyone from your phone or from this website, you can see their location as an approximate street address, as well as on a map.

We give you an estimate of the accuracy of each location in metres (.e.g. ± 500 metres), and on the website we show the approximate area of uncertainty as a semi-transparent light blue shape around the person.

Mind people

Whereis Everyone lets you set "Location Alerts", allowing you to automatically receive a message telling you where someone is at a certain time and day of the week. The message is sent to your phone as an SMS, and you can also choose to receive it as an e-mail. For example, you could set up location alerts so that you find out where your mother is every weekday at 6:30pm, or where your daughter is on a Saturday night.

Find your phone

You can use Whereis Everone not only to find other people, but also to find the location of your own phone. This means that if you misplace your phone, you can use Whereis Everyone on the web to try to locate it. Although in most cases the location can't be pinpointed to an individual street address, it may be enough just to know which suburb it is in, to jog your memory.

Note that to be able to find your own phone using Whereis Everyone on the web you must have already set up a web account. Phones can only be located when they are switched on and have the person's SIM card in them.
