The full terms and conditions are in Our Customer Terms available at most Telstra Shops or in Part H - BigPond Mobile Services in the Telstra Mobile Section online at http://www.telstra.com.au/customerterms/docs/infoservices.doc.
Note that whilst we may refer to locating a person, you are actually locating their mobile phone, and their mobile phone may not be with them. The person you are attempting to locate must also have their phone switched on and must be within a Telstra mobile coverage area.
Customers on a casual plan will pay Full Terms and Conditions Page.50 for each Location Search. Customers on a monthly subscription will pay .95 each month for unlimited location searches (subject to reasonable use policy). Location alerts are Full Terms and Conditions Page.30 for each alert sent.
If the location of a person cannot be ascertained you will not be charged for a Location Search or Location Alert.
You may incur data charges when you use Whereis Everyone from your handset. Whether or not you incur data charges will depend upon your handset and mobile service plan.
The accuracy of a person's location depends on various factors and vary depending on the person's handset (for AGPS handsets, accuracy may vary between 20m and 300m and for non-AGPS handsets between 200m and several kms).
If you have a prepaid account you will not be able to obtain a GPS location for a person.
When attempting to locate a person with an AGPS enabled handset, the accuracy of that location will often be within approximately 50m of the actual position, but can vary between around 20m to up to 200-300m.
When attempting to locate a person that does not have an AGPS enabled handset, the accuracy of that location will vary. In high density areas, such as the centre of cities, accuracy can be to within a few hundred metres of the actual position. In rural areas outside population centres the accuracy can be to within several kilometres of the actual position.
Telstra cannot guarantee that the Location Alert alarm will always be sent at the exact set time. You should not rely on this service in an emergency or to locate children or other vulnerable persons.
We collect, store, use and disclose information about your location to other persons in accordance with Telstra's Privacy Statement, available at http://www.telstra.com.au/privacy/privacy_statement.html.
